I hope you’re having a fantastic week! My heart is full after a weekend of reading, adventure, and time with friends. I attended a pirate-themed night at the local axe throwing club, where some friends sang sea shanties. I also learned how to throw axes for the first time! It was exactly what I needed before diving into drafting and revising this week.
On Saturday, July 13th, I’ll be at EriCon from 9 am to 1 pm. I’ll have copies of Forsaken Beauty and the Etherbeast, Monsters and Machines, and other fun bookish things with me. If you're local to Central Iowa, this is a fun, all-ages friendly mini comic-con held at Ericson Public Library in Boone, Iowa. There’ll be vendors, artists, prizes, and cosplay. Come say hi!
In case you missed last week’s announcement, I have a new book coming out on July 1st, 2025! The Clockwork Coffin is a gothic romantasy retelling of The Princess and the Coffin. It’s part of a shared series and I can’t wait to reveal more details (like the cover 👀) soon! I also have other projects in the works, but I’m not quite ready to talk about those yet.
