New Book Alert: Introducing The Clockwork Coffin! ๐โ๏ธ๐
Open for release details about my latest book announcement and a new bookish event!
Hello!
I hope your July is off to a wonderful start! I have been busy with a few different projects, but I have fun publishing news and an event coming soon!
My book "The Clockwork Coffin" is coming out on July 1st, 2025! ๐๐
It's a dark fairy tale retelling of The Princess in a Coffin and will be part of a shared series. If you love tales with wit, courage, and a bit of spooky charm, this one's for you!
If you're a nerd for the Aarne-Thompson-Uther index, the retelling is categorized under ATU 307 if youโd like to read more about the fairy tale's origins. Though there are many variations of the story in multiple countries, the main idea is a woman has been cursed to transform into a monster and rise from her coffin each night. Breaking the spell requires no small amount of cunning and bravery.
I can't wait to introduce Sabeline, Oliver, and Mercy the automaton. Cover reveal coming soon! In the meantime, hereโs some concept art for Sabeline, a brilliant woman who has been living with her curse for thirteen long years, and Oliver, the romantic and talented musician hired to be her unorthodox tutor. ๐โ๏ธ
I have other projects that are in the works, such as The Hazel Fae and my next series, but Iโm not quite ready to share details yet. Stay tuned! ๐โจ
In other news, I was invited to attend EriCon, the Ericson Public Library mini comic-con on Saturday, July 13th from 9 am to 1 pm. Click here for more details! (Yes, I did say I was done with events until the fall so that I can focus on writing, but this event is local enough that I wonโt have to travel far. I love the chance to support libraries and comic-cons are so much fun!)
This week Iโm swapping newsletter mentions with Myrenne Mae. Check out Three Coins from a Dead Man's Pocket!
A daring druis with a thousand-year-old secret. A fiery love defying the magic of the realms. And an ancient, desperate soul hungry for vengeance.
Happy reading!
