Hello!

I can’t believe August is nearly here! I'm back from a semi-spontaneous trip to Kansas City with my family! In a *very* short amount of time, we visited Union Station, the Disney 100 exhibit, Science City, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, the Cubs vs Royals baseball game, and a quick stop at IKEA. It was a blast!

Since I have school-age children, I treat August like my January, so I have a lot of projects and goals beginning soon. This mini-vacation was a wonderful break before getting back into everything 💖⚙️📚

A few pics from the Disney 100 exhibit and a selfie at Science City. Not pictured is me wearing a Team Rocket hat at the baseball game. I like going to games when I can, but I'm not super into sports. Some of my loved ones are fans of rival teams. I'm not getting in the middle of that! 😂

I'm hoping to have The Clockwork Coffin ready for beta readers around the time I leave for TeslaCon November 7th-10th. It heavily depends on how my other projects are going, but so far progress has been going well!

Speaking of TeslaCon, if you're planning on attending for the weekend, tickets are already selling quickly! As of last week, there were under 150 weekend passes left. You can always buy day passes at the door since those don’t sell out. I will be attending as a vendor with my books and a panelist.

I still need to decide what I’d like to pitch for panels at the Chicago Steampunk Expo! I’ve enjoyed paneling there before about Strange Happenings at the 1893 World’s Fair. I need to think about it. If you’re attending and there’s something you’d love to learn more about, let me know!
