Hello!
It’s been a minute since my last newsletter. Between back-to-school, family illnesses, Life Happenings™, and revisions, the end of summer has been busy! I’m happy to be settling into my favorite season, even if things are more hectic than I’d care for them to be. However, I have wonderful news this week, including library updates and details about my first EVER author tea party at Fables and Flames!
When I’m not buried in revisions and other projects, I also have been working on finalizing vinyl sticker designs for upcoming conventions. While most of the designs are some of the more popular quotes between Belle and Beast in Forsaken Beauty and the Etherbeast, I’m also planning on including a few of Captain Charity’s quotes. (The design for “Maker’s Moldy Knickers” cracked me up! It’s giving Monty Python vibes with the little airship doodle above the text.) More details soon!
Find all my books at the library!
Recently, the official rules have changed about the exclusive terms for ebooks enrolled in Kindle Unlimited. Now KU books can also be available in libraries! I’ve already started the process of adding my books to libraries. Hoopla is notoriously slow for updating their catalog, but you can find Forsaken Beauty and the Etherbeast along with all of my Strange Happenings stories in OverDrive and other library ebook distributors!
For more information on how to request physical copies of my books to be added to your local library, check out this post:
Join me at TeslaCon?
The full schedule for TeslaCon is live! When I’m not at my table with my books, attending room parties, and dancing at the masquerade, I’ll be on a few panels and reprising my role in the BrassGears Adventurers Society radio play! I can’t wait to see old and new friends this November!
Here is my panel schedule for this year’s TeslaCon:
Fairies, Folklore & Superstitions of the later Victorian Age on Thursday, November 6th at 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Magic and Machines: Steampunk Fairy Tales on Friday, November 7th at 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
BrassGears Adventure Radio on Saturday, November 8th at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Understanding Automatons on Saturday, November 8th at 2:30 pm-4:00 pm
Writing Steampunk: Beyond Cogs and Gears on Sunday, November 9th at 11:30 pm -1 pm
TeslaCon takes place November 6th-9th, 2025, in Middleton, Wisconsin. This year’s theme is all about steampunk fairy tales and Nordic mythology. Come join us! For more information, click here.
When I’m back, I’ll be attending Quasar: SFWA's Fall Online Nebula Event virtually on November 15th-16th for some professional development and catching up with author friends.
Find me at Fables and Flames
From November, 21st-23rd, I’ll be in Bloomington, Minnesota for Fables and Flames Romantasy Gala as an attending author! I’ll have a table with my books and other bookish goodies.
One thing I’m testing out for this convention is having a pre-order link up for readers to ensure that they get their copies. Since this event occurs only a few weeks after TeslaCon, I want to make sure that I have enough books on hand. If you’re attending Fables and Flames, you can find the pre-order link here.
You can join readers and authors (including me!) for a special tea on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 pm. Details about the tea party can be found here. I’m so excited because this is the first time I’ve ever participated in an author tea!
I also have a reading + Q&A on Saturday at 4 pm. More details to come soon!
The list of things to do at Fables and Flames looks AMAZING:
Author signings
Burlesque show
Saturday night ball
Writing workshops
Puppy and kitty room
Mermaids in the pool
I can’t wait to check out all the activities! Come join us!
As always, you can check the Events tab of my website for more convention and event news.
Happy reading!
P.S. A quick note about The Clockwork Coffin: it’s still coming, but yes, I did need to push back the release date on it so that I can have a more sustainable work pace while dealing with personal matters. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience! 💖
