Join me at the DSM Book Festival on Saturday? And... 💖⚙️📚
Open for a Strange Happenings cover reveal! 🎉
Hello!
This week has been full of some of my favorite parts of writing: revisions, approving cover art, and prepping for events! Today, I have the full schedule of the DSM Book Festival on Saturday along with the map where you can find me. I also have a sneak peek of the next Strange Happenings cover!
Join me at the DSM Book Festival?
I’m one of the authors attending the DSM Book Festival on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025! I’ll be at my table from 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm in 117 East Gym with copies of Monsters and Machines and Forsaken Beauty and the Etherbeast, along with bookmarks.
The DSM Book Festival is a free event, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at the Franklin Event Center, located at 4801 Franklin Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. There will be author programs, workshops, book signings, children’s activities, and more all day long. For the Festival’s full schedule, click here!
First Look at Alchemy and Automatons!
I have a new collection of Strange Happenings stories coming out later this year! Alchemy and Automatons is the direct sequel to Monsters and Machines and feature more Lucille, Rosie, Evelyn, Adam, and a new POV character. The format will be very similar to the previous Strange Happenings Collection, bringing together a series of novelette length stories in one volume. (Note: this new collection is separate from the Strange Happenings novel that’s in the works.)
Pre-orders are not live yet for Alchemy and Automatons, but scroll down to be one of the first to see the cover! Stay tuned for more info coming soon! 👀
That’s it from me today! I have revisions and prep for more events this spring. In case you missed it last week, I’ve been compiling a list of panels I’ve done at conventions. I’m considering making my panels available for those who can’t travel to conventions. The best suggestion I’ve gotten so far is to make the slides available on YouTube, with a recording of the presentation audio. I’m still thinking it over, as the earliest I can start working on this will be later this summer.
As always, you can find my full convention list on the Events page of my website here.
Happy reading!
